WIGGLE BIOGRAPHY

1996年	Raphiel(豪)、Brett(米)、Tatsuya(日)、Gil-K(米)が、インターネットを通じ結成。ニップギター(北米)と契約。
1997年	ゲストヴォーカルにSEXY FUNKOを迎え、1st.マキシシングル『私は私が大好き』で国内デビュー。同曲のPMVは、雑誌「ガロ」のCMオンエア他、文化庁「メディア芸術祭」にて優秀賞を受賞。
1998年	東京での初ライヴの模様が「MTV JAPAN」でオンエアされ、ホームページに多大な反響が寄せられる。「ロッテルダム国際映画祭」,「Sprawl」含むヨーロッパツアー敢行の後、「鉄拳3」REMIXアルバムに、Ken IshiiやCaptain Funk等と参加。
1999年	Cristian Vogel、Ken Ishii、SEXY FUNKO、RUINS等のサポートと共に、1st.アルバム『WIGGLE』を日本先行発売。再び東京/ヨーロッパでのライヴ後、『川村かおりRemix 12"』をMission Hill / Miracle Hitよりリリース。Digicube デジタルコンテンツターミナルにて、2曲のダウンロードが可能に。
2000年	初の女性メンバー、LINDA(日本)が加入。トヨタ自動車「bB」のテレビ/ラジオCMに楽曲提供(5曲)。4/12、同CM曲を収めた2nd.マキシシングル『RONIN』をリリース。
2001年	トヨタbBのCM曲を収録した「bB The Original Soundtrack」を6月27日に発売。ドラムにムロチン（Wrench, The Fly Wheel (Abnormals), Dessert他)が加入。
2002年	Lindaが結婚脱退。妹分のRinaRinaが加入。 オランダのHan Hoogerbruggeとのコラボレーション、"Flow"がCanon Digital Creators Contestで銅賞を獲得。
2003年	"Flow"がオーストリアArs Electronicaに入賞。実際のエレベータに作品を設置。
2004年	元HellchildのEiichiroが加入、最強の編成となる。

It used to be that bands were formed in a certain city. The Beatles from Liverpool, The Rolling Stones from London, U2 from Dublin, etc. This was because band members had to meet in the same studio in order to compose. With the Internet, members can be gathered on a worldwide basis, as network technologies can allow for musical collaborations over remote locations.

WIGGLE did just this.

The most talented musicians were recruited over the Net for WIGGLE; members were found in Japan (Tatsuya & Gil,) Australia (Simon "Raphiel" Bennett,) and the U.S.A. (Brett). These four compose together as a traditional band, with one difference; composition does not occur in a studio, but on the Internet. In fact, the members have yet to meet!

They appeared in their first video through the personas of computer graphic characters, and their concerts are performed with several of the members appearing on monitors via the Internet. This video won first prize at the Media Arts Contest held by the Japanese Ministy of Culture, and has been played heavily on MTV Japan, Space Shower, and MTV Europe.

Their first single (released August 97) was produced by Yasuhiko Terada, the legendary producer of YMO. The sound designers for the album (released May 99) are Cristian Vogel - Techno prodigy from the UK, Gil K and Tatsuya Oe. Collaborative efforts with Japanese Techno God, Ken Ishii and Tokyo's the Ruins are also included.

WIGGLE were asked by Toyota to do a commerial tie-up for their new product, the bB. This proves to be a huge success for both Toyota and WIGGLE. The month it was released,the bB ranked second in Japan's car sales. WIGGLE has released two soundtracks containing these songs, "Ronin" (4/2000) and "bB The Original Soundtrack" (6/2001).
